    My setup is as follows:

bring whole beans and plug-in grinder- use bed outlet to fresh grind beans in the morning

    use jetboil to heat water

use aeropress to steep into my mug

enjoy the same coffee i make at home every day.

    a bunch of new/used parts....and some skids.
I do this every time I car camp

If you want a serious zip in the AM:

    1. Take a cheap screw cap container that wont leak (think large water bottle or a storage canister)
    2. toss grounds inside (1:8 or 1:4 coffee to water)
    3. add water, and put it in your back seat to keep cool during travel.

upload_2016-7-27_11-7-2.jpg grab one of these GSI Java drip ($12) and filter enough coffee for your beverage or a whole camp of beverages.

Now you dont have to heat any water and you'll get 2x the caffeine.

My set up includes getting a campsite with power.
    This is Florida style.
If you don't have a wind maker fan, the mosquitoes will eat you alive!
Also while camping in winter by the river or springs, a space heater is pretty toasty....
I'm beyond that sleeping on the ground stuff.

Its a no brainer that wont work. That will pull between 1,200 and 1,600 watts which is way beyond the 400 watt capacity of our inverters.

Edited - watts, not amps. :)

I'm guessing that you meant to type watts, not amps.

I didn't know . That you don't have to pump. But I still like . Found some on eBay but they want about 90 bucks for a kit.

True that, this is my MSR pot that accompanied me on an AT thru hike in 1989, my only pot for 5.5 months, still in use today 27 years later , indestructible and will be here longer than I am

The actual burners in the Svea and Optimus are the same. At roughly 1:33 he holds then next to each other.

The housings and tanks differ. The 8Rs that I have use a steel case with a built-in rack to hold the pot and a brass tank to the side. The 123 has the tank under the burner and a cylinder that fits over the burner to hold the pot.

You can see a comparison in this video.

The same shit everyone else has.

I use those. Boil the water and let em soak for few minutes. 2 per cup seems to be strong enough. Im not a coffee snob at all so I wouldnt know the difference between these and a 9$ cup of coffee. When you wake up and its 45*, you really dont care how fancy the coffee is as long as it hot.

probably not, unless your heating device draws less than 400 watts.
