OZ Tents are nice. Adventure Driven Posts some pics of their Oz Tent with cots and matresses setup and it makes me want to ditch the roof top tent.

Hahaha! If I did anything I'd drop it a bit and throw a factory turbo on it. That would be kewl. But I bought it for dd shtuffffff not another project, maybe if it blows up!

trailer build eh? Teardrop so you can sleep inside or a trailer with a tent on it? I totally understand the RTTs aren't the perfect solution for everyone but do you plan to go back to a ground tent? I still prefer the minor hassle of leveling a truck than finding a flatspot for a ground tent, but that's just me.

No more rtt, I'd be building a teardrop style with a mattress inside the trailer, then sink, cabinets and storage out the back, but until then, I have a decent ground tent, @zscott has also got me pondering the idea of a Oztent and a cott..

Cool. If you're going ground tent, I totally think the Oz Tent (or similar) version is a great idea. The Oz tent is really cool. CVT and Tepui both have something similar. Tepui calls it the Awning extension. It can be attached to an awning or used as a stand alone.

I don't own one, but I've heard yes. I'd personally ask Gage @BabyTaco as I recall he traded in his roof tent for one. They look super versatile and convenient for multiple people too. Plus you can heat them. I'm considering one, as my tent is no longer serviceable...

Set up time is pretty quick. Stake four outside points, insert shaft (ya know what I am sayin haha?), stake out the seams and possibly more if needed.

I can get the tipi up in 5-10 minutes if I am in a hurry. Once up, you will be able to set everything else up inside the tipi outside of maybe the stove pipe.

If you want cots I would suggest 6 man and up but it probably will be most comfortable with a 8-12 man sized tipi. I have the 4 man and its good for 2 people and the dogs.

If you are interested in them and want some more info feel free to give me a shout. When I become rich I will be upgrading to a 6-8 man tipi.
