Can neither confirm nor deny that was the method used when swapping the stock for stock set haha.

Thanks for the responses. I’m planning on resetting it this weekend and inspecting for any deformations.

When you installed your front strut, was it fully assembled or was it in 2 separate pieces(as in strut and spring separated)? When it was removed from the donor truck, it should have been pulled out without messing with the top hat nut and bushing. The 3 nuts on the top studs and the lower bolt should have been the only hardware removed and reinstalled.

You can see 2 of the upper nuts that I'm talking about in this picture you posted, the 3rd is the one hidden behind your top hat. You shouldn't pull the top hat nut unless you're rebuilding the strut assembly with new bushings. And based on this photo, your top hat bushing looks to be in serviceable condition so you don't need to replace it yet.

Well last night I performed the ECGS differential bushing replacement and while I had it jacked up I unbolted the shock from the LCA; that relieved just enough tension to use a pry bar which popped the coil right back into its seated position in the top hat. The ride has been great since then. Thanks again for the responses.
