    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.
I'm getting ready to mount the Relentless Stingray and a Warn M8000-S and have a set of the 650lb Bilstein HD springs ready to go in to handle the additional weight up front. Hasn't been too long since I installed the 6112s, and I'm wondering if anyone's changed these springs out using the no spring compressor method of jacking up the LCA once the truck is in the air.

Anyone have any experience swapping to the heavier springs?

I have swapped quite a lot of springs using the "no spring compressor" method and have had great luck with the method. Also, I had 6112's with 600 lb coils and swapped coils to Bilstein HD 650 lb coils on the 6112's when I added a SSO Slimline bumper and 10K winch. My ride height stayed about the same with the HD coils vs a stock front end with 600 lb coils. And as a bonus the extra weight of the bumper and winch resulted with a smoother ride quality even with 650 lb springs!

Remember to mark the LCA cam bolts for alignment location before you loosen the LCA cam adjusting bolts just in case they slip.
