what are you talking about by larger diameter? A 2” shock requires a 2.5” I.D. Coil spring. I want a 16” long coil. The 2888 is the only coil I found at that length and are notorious for sagging. And $60 more than the kings.

OP, definitely a viable idea but that specific sleeve you posted runs the risk of spinning on the shock body when you go to adjust the spring, where as Toytec’s design has a milled lower nut that allows you to immobilize the sleeve while adjusting the spring perch collar.

We have a disconnect. Your first post implied to me that you were trying to combine a shock and coil spring that were not compatible with each other which implied to me that the inside diameter of the coil spring was too large for the shock. I’m also confused why you want to spend $43 on an adapter to save $60 on a coil spring.

There's always someone out there trying to do something better to something that's already the best at what it is designed for and make it worse with smartly colored add-ons.
    Just buy the 6112s/8112s.
    Leave the 5100s alone.
    This "mod" is caca!

The coils are ground flat on both ends, where as a stock coil is not.
