i dont believe so...ive read some posts on www.Calguns.net and from my understanding you must unload it and keep it in a closed container

Nice job on the coin tray, but I tend to agree with EMTaco. In order to fend off a carjacker...in MOST scenarios...you need to have one chambered (even if it's cocked and locked) or carry a revolver.

Things happen real fast in those situations. The perp could grab the steering wheel, your arm, etc.

And unless you are one of these guys that can chamber a round one-handed, it's big trouble.

Not being at all critical of your mod. That's a great job.

Just weighing in on whether to chamber or not to chamber in a self-defense situation ;)

That is exactly where I want to keep my Kimber. (right now its just in the center console.) The belt clip on my holster won't hold on the lip, if I draw delicately it only slides and stays on, but who wants to draw delicately!?!? If I draw quickly the holster comes with it. Anywho, any ideas as to what I could use to keep the clip in place? or does yours just stay as it is?

Also, I like that cointray holster (minus cutting up my truck) but doesn't the steering wheel block your forearm? It would appear you have a right hand set up with it on the left side of the wheel.

It's really pretty easy to get to, even right handed.

shooting somebody is all in your mind, imo if somebody is willing and able to pull a weapon on me and my family they will end up with two in the chest and one in the head, training should take over at that time disarm and seach for othe deadly weapons call it in tell em you have shot the person three times self defense give a statement when the 5/0 gets there and sleep well that night knowing you kept your family alivel.

but its my job as an infantrymen to be prepared to draw and fire without thinking twice that this is a human being im killing

Blanks??? The only blanks in my Glock 45 will be when it and the back-up clip is empty!!! I carry 2 guns in my truck one to kill enyone who trys to carjack me and the other so that the dead carjacker will have a gun! Thats how the girls do IT.

    There's no way a .45 will fit... the sub-compact 9mm barely fits.

    ....Blanks........WOW....Hey, it's your funeral....

...Yes, I've arrested people for this in Cali...

...Yes, I've used my Glock to save my life and end another...The "end another" part of this statement sucked.

i actually first started carrying my glock 17 with nothing in the chamber....and practiced many time drawing it out of my holster and cocking it all in one fluid motion....got pretty good at it (also was told this by my neighbor who said something about israelis do it that way)....idk if thats true or not...

Now i carry with one in the chamber....its stupid not to....you dont want that one moment God forbid you actually have to use it, and mess it up trying to load it.

I carry a beretta px4 storm subcompact .40.....keep one in the chamber but has a nice lil thumb safety on it that is real easy to flip off when needed. get the best of both worlds now ha

Cool mod. I bought my Wet Okoles with a gun pouch. I'm applying for a CCW permit but I'm not holding my breath on that. Getting one is hit or miss around here depending alot on what town you live in. The gun pouch is a nice place to stash my GPS if I can't legally carry...
