Sound difference and aesthetics (if you think so) are really the only improvements. Personally I would save that money for better mods

Drill some holes in your muffler. It's free. Assuming you have a drill.

I’ll second getting a good drop in filter for the stock box (I have the aFe dry filter) and the airaid jr tube. Keeps the stock box for about as “cold” an intake as you’re gonna get, but gives you a better flowing filter and less, I wouldn’t necessarily say restrictive - maybe less turbulent, passageway from the box to the throttle body.

Without some sort of forced induction and exhaust work you’ll probably be without much of a performance gain, but it might be more audibly satisfying. I haven’t actually had a chance to take my truck out for a spin yet, and I’ll have it supercharged with headers and exhaust before I do, so my .02 is probably worth even less, but there it is anyways lol

When the fast n furious trend was in full swing a well known tuning company did dyno runs with various CAI and a couple different popular tuner engines at the time. The basic takeaway was that the stock air box worked best, until you modded the engines to produce north of 400 HP.
