S&B intake has a clear cover so you can see the filter but is still enclosed. I didn’t expect a huge performance gain from doing it just wanted a better sound which i got

I had the afe stage 2 intake and I hated it. Made no power that I noticed. But it was louder. Like annoying loud. Full throttle is fine with me, but I hated how going up hills on cruise control, the engine is under load and it would be growling, not in a good way. Made talking in the car uncomfortable.

I took it off and put stock back on.

    Stocker, not even a locker
I don't buy the whole cold air intake thing. There's hot coolant circulating through the throttle body anyway.

Also, I don't feel any extra horsepower or response when it's below zero outside.

    I could be wrong

Did you like that one? I'm thinking about getting it.

I like it. Makes the engine sound nice and deep when pushing on the throttle

As others stated, the factory intake is cold air. I wouldn't waste your $, you're not going to notice any increase in mileage or power. A drop-in reusable filter like K+N might save you some $ in the long run. Mine eventually stopped sealing in the factory airbox though and started triggering the check engine light (lean codes) and had to be replaced anyway.

Weight (less is best) Ie: leave all the "just in case" crap at home.
    No lift.
Maintenance. Lubes, MAF, Throttle Body, Air filter, spark plugs.....

    Good Luck
