Nice!! I could tell there was some subi in you lol! If you change the type of fuel you run in a Subaru you have to re-tune it!! :D I traded in my STi for my tacoma, at times I miss being a dickhead and a hazard to the public by speeding up n down but I love this truck!

I also still have my 93' extended cab pickup!

I went for the Airaid intake system. But it’s because I got an insanely good deal for only $150 unused opened box. Definitely sounds amazing and throttle responsiveness is better but probably not adding any noticeable HP. Personally I wouldn’t spend more than $300 on a kit since the only benefits are noise and throttle response. Also I recently got the Pedal Commander and that thing alone can change the throttle response way better than any intake so if that’s what you’re looking for get the Pedal Commander instead.

Throttle responsiveness improvement is definitely a plus to me. Thanks for that. Is the addition of a new exhaust also just for sound or is that a potential performance enhancement as well?

I personally didn’t do the exhaust upgrade because of the drone that it most likely would have but I’m sure it would add a little performance.

‍♂️ my bad. It was just auto-corrected. I meant OV tune. How well does the tune do for a manual?

Just hard to throw $700 at it. I Was curious about low end power boost. And gas milage increase. Im running everything stock except tires. They're 265/70-17

i'm not here to try and convince you. the MT and OV threads are available to you and you can ask there and get all kinds of info... or just read up.

but my personal philosophy about this is simple to me: i paid a shit ton of cash for this hardware in my driveway. it came with awful crap software that muted my hardware's performance in all kinds of obvious ways. so i am bringing my hardware to optimal performance and it shines literally every drive, but i'm a serious driving enthusiast who invests and puts a lot of energy into that. the reward for me is huge, and after over 2 years of modding and tweaking my truck is incredible, and the tune is right in the middle of that. but, you know: YMMV, it's all about what you value.

300 for 5hp (if that) vs $700 for 25hp (91oct OVTune). Let me know what you think is a better value?

All 3rd gens come stock with a CAI. The Air is taken in outside the engine bay passenger side wheel well...
Getting the Air intake out of the wheel well....now that is something you want to do esp if you move up to 35+ tires and have to remove that liner..That's why I got the Snork..

Are those Dirt King lower control arms? Looks great, how do you like them? If so are they compatible with bushing lower rod end coil-overs?

yea no real need to for a CAI, just fun noise. If you get a CAI make sure you tune it to get the maximum performance safely but again prob no real gains from unless its FI. Id spend it on a nice lift, wheels and tires imo
