94 toyota pickup v6 3.0 cold air? I have heard both sides of the story, that they work really well and help out performance tremendously. I have also heard that they don't work that good. What do you think?

Search all the intake threads on here. Moat agree that they don't do a whole lot. Most OEM intakes are cold air anyway. Look to see where your intake gets air from. Since you have an older truck an intake MIGHT help out your truck a bit more but I'm not sure what is out there for your truck. Oh and a cheap metal "shield" doesn't make an intake a CAI.

The '94 3.0 isnt that great of an intake from the factory. That being said, most aftermarket intakes pull air from under the hood, grabbing hot air, which would negate any possible gains. Headers, MSD ignition, and re gearing, are the best performance mods for this engine. You might want to find a website that has more focus on this year of Toyota, and see what those members have to say.

A snorkel can cause power losses due to the long pipe.
