Hey guy thanks for the posts. Very informative, Im leaning towards the AFE CAI, due to its closed housing compared to the Open Air of K&N, due to the possibility of getting water/dirt/debris in the CAI when Off roading ... will both have the same Hp in reference to design ? :mudding:

So many people on TTE are talking about buying the K&N as a COLD Air Intake.

I'm bursting a lot of bubbles right now

Yeah I don't mind though, the extra noise will be enough satisfaction for me.
Quicker throttle response will be a plus too.

Only intake for me will be a snorkel one day :p

I'm curious to see how "real" these K&N intake numbers are, no disrespect to anyone putting in a CAI but i've always thought it's BS and more for the ability to say, "HEY, look at my cool intake that goes WOOOSH"

That could be true but I don't see why they would exaggerate that much.
I've seen their other dynos for their intakes on other vehicles and they have announced as low as a 2 hp increase. If they wanted to lie they would at least stretch that number to 5 hp but they don't.

Fair enough, at the end of the day it's a MOD. And for me any possibility to put a mod on my truck is a good enough reason for me to do so LOL
    So that works :D

Pulled this off their website to support my last post. If they were dishonest, increasing this number to at least 5 hp is a no brainer from a marketing perspective, even for a car like this Nissan.

    Fits the following applications:

    '13-'14 Nissan Sentra 1.8L L4

    Part #: 69-7003TTK

    2.37 HP @ 5255 RPM

Yeah same here, I've always bought aftermarket air intakes for all of my last vehicles and have been happy with each one of them. I don't see this one being much different.

the AFe looks better than the K&N but I'll probably just wait awhile to see if TRD comes out with something. I normally keep my vehicles for 10 years so I have plenty of time to make modifications.

CAI is a worth while mod assuming you're getting plenty of fresh, cold air to the box. I drag raced for well over 20 yrs... had them on all of my cars, but mine were all modified to breath cold air from underneath the vehicle. Dyno and track tested... they always worked! Don't expect a huge difference, but they do help as long as you're getting more and cooler air flow. I remember adding a SLP cold air intake on my old 350 TPI... I also cut a hole in the plastic, just in front of the air dam... it worked well... picked up 1mph and 1/10th of a second in the 1/8th mile alone. May not seem like much, but at the track, it can be! That would relate to probably 10HP or so...

That being said... I've looked over the stock ones on the Tacomas... they are pretty decent stock... so, you may or may not see as much of a increase in power.
