@JerryTaco and I helped Airaid with their prototype intake and it is awesome. Jerry has had it on his truck much longer than I did but for the short time I had it i loved it. I don't know of an official release date for it but I would recommend waiting to anyone that wants one. It is awesome.

Formula is 2-3 hp per 10* drop in temp so if you also wrap the intake tube With heat barrier wrap that can reflect up to 90% you can get a significant drop in intake air temps

So if you have 120 deg under hood temps and you can get the intake air temp to let's say 85 degrees that's a 35 deg temp drop That can equate to 17 hp gain if intake air temps are cold enough

I don't know why many people bash on these air intakes.

First everyone says, "let's see a dyno!"
And once a dyno is released, "numbers are bogus!"

Lol you guys are silly. I'll tell you what, I have magic stickers that you can buy and I'll show you the dyno that shows they added 20hp! I swear the dyno is legit and not doctored in any way! I did the dyno myself!

The Basher's are going to bash ! I had CAI on my 2nd gen loved it never had an issue with the oiled filter ! Loved the throttle response it gave and the sound when you mashed the pedal. Yes there was some minor gains in HP and MPG'S. So yes i will be getting CAI for those reasons i mentioned. Yes i do know the 17hp they advertise is in the best of conditions, if you get half that it's something right? :burnrubber::bananadance: K&N website is showing pre orders at a special price !

Like I've mentioned using a heat reflective sleeve on the intake tube will drastically lower the temp of the air going to the throttle body

Okay let see the haters piss & moan over this !!!

I got an email this morning from K&N that the CAI kits were back in stock. Two hours later when I go to buy they're out again. Apparently there's plenty of folks out there who want'em.

I ordered it from the K&N Webiste, it's shows out of stock but will ship once their in stock. I called customer service and they told me they should be shipping next Wednesday.

At 249.99 , it's cheaper than the 2nd gen intake.
I paid 269.99 after Tax since I'm in California.

Has anyone measured intake air temps with a IR temp gun ???
