I have a 2021 sr 2.7 Tacoma. Was looking for a cold air intake but all say don’t fit my 2021. Any suggestions? Also as a starter any cool suggestions on mods? Currently had all terrain wheels with running boards no mods thanks in advance

Pretty sure 16-21 is all the same. Unless they did some sneaky redesign to the engine but i dont tink so

You know your truck has a factory CAI, right?

    What are all terrain wheels?

An OE bed mat and under rail bed lighting by @mattgecko are useful mods.

If you live in salt country properly protecting your frame would be 1st up. It may not be a 'mod' but it is essential.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Judging from numerous posts on TW, CAI is not worth the cost and fails to provide any significant benefit.

Supposedly for the 2.7l, pulling the secondary charcoal filter helps quite a bit. It is only there to absorb fuel fumes when the truck is not running.

Supposedly more throttle response and a bit of torque. There are some threads around here about it.

The 3.5s have them also, but don't see a much benefit from removing it.

If you live in a overly strict emissions state, (CA) I wouldn't mess with this.

In Texas, you still have to get a yearly inspection (after first two years from new) where they do check emissions. Don't know if removing that filter would be detected but I guess if you failed, it could be replaced.

Most stuff for Tacoma that's sold by Amazon says it won't fit. I got the 3.5 v6, I installed a K&N and I replaced the air intake plastic part that goes from the air box inside the fender with the TRD version, I believe it's called Air intake Accelerator..., presto CAI for cheap!
