I don't know why you keep quoting me Bill I'm well aware of what I wrote, being that I wrote it. I already agreed with you that the CAI is pointless but it can make very little more power too. I was really only correcting your explanation of how EFI account or doesn't account for it. BTW, there is a quote button if you'd like to keep pointlessly quoting me haha Maybe now is the time to go do some research before commenting about this again huh?

We want to see a stock run. Then a stock with K&N. Then OVTune.

We want to see exactly what k&n did. Then we can laugh.

The DA "corrected elevation" and Relative Density will change drastically with those many changes during the day causing dyno #s to be skewed

Let me say this in the kindest way possible... your dyno and video will mean nothing to anyone, including you. If we were talking about gaining 25% or even 10% change then yeah, it would be worth it. But below 5% of total power? That is not really measurable unless you do many runs under lab conditions with an engineer who has developed a precise test plan.
Again, you will get a tiny gain at WOT with a free-er flowing filter. You don't need a dyno for that because it's a fact. Good luck and just enjoy the way it runs.

As far as comparing older vehicles to new vehicles: it's all about the tune mod on today's vehicles. I don't care what you do, if you have a stock tune then the computer won't let you use any additional air, cold or hot, except at wide open throttle.

Only because what you said has not been proven and backed up with data. That's why I want to do this. I am being optimistic that I will see gains, but I am also a very humble guy and will be the first one to admit If I was wrong. I love testing theories, trying things, debunking myths or just investigating/researching. Its just who I am. Some people are perfectly OK with trusting what " the majority" says about things. I tend to question just about everything in life lol its fun.

    Yeah.
Still don't care. I will run my TRD CAI with an OEM filter and feel like I am cool because it looks cool under the hood. But I'm still interested in seeing actual results.

I have KN CAI. I don't have dyno proof and don't care to get it, waste of my money. Fact is that the truck throttle response is better. I put mine on, and took it off, then on again to feel the difference and it is there. Gains are small but with a tuned high tech engine not sure you can expect more than that without major modifications. The only downside is the drone when at high rpms and pulling a trailer, otherwise its great.

I was referring to the K&N. Particularly for the GTO, it is regarded as one of the worst. There are a few high quality options to be had for that model, and K&N isn't one of them lol

Eh, no. There’s much more involved in engine oil than just the oil itself. Detergents, wear suppressants, etc all play a role. After analysis, I’m running a 9,500 mile oil change interval on Mobil 1, I wouldn’t do that with Walmart brand Dino.

Incorrect, check this site out you will learn a lot.
    https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/forum_summary

I am doing 12,500 mile intervals now and would not hesitate to use super tech synthetic. I do have oil analysis done periodically. Save your money and use what's on sale. I just picked up mobile 1 because of their rebate.

Not getting into the debate, but the only “mod” I have done so far is to add a drop in k&n filter. Not so much for performance, which has to be negligible, but not having to replace paper filters regularly, especially once the off-reading starts. Curious about the new factory “desert air intake” too.

Be careful running the k & n filter in dirty , dusty conditions.
