Not be disappointed with a 6spd OR stock or tuned, I definitely recommend the SFOB tune. It’s full Otto cycle, none of this Atkinson BS (well only on rare occasions when cruising on hwy at low Rpms and low load on the engine).

buy an throttle booster. You will have no lag and more control of your response.

 

Im fine with the OVtune, i know it will never be like a cable throttle no matter what you do.

 

Tune is much cheaper now, I did Trd intake and exhaust mod. The throttle response make it to complete different truck.

 

I also installed the AFE Momenum CAI. I had OV 2.0 and upgraded to TDMax recently. Besides the engine sounding louder with the CAI, the other thing I noticed was throttle sticking and engine rev. At any speed the throttle just sticks ON, like cruise control. Or, the engine REVS 2000-4000 RPMs until I tap the brakes. I’ve sent in a warranty refund request to AFE. We shall see what they say about a refund. Or else this will be on eBay.

 

Yep, I just sold mine after it sat in my attic for almost a year. Don’t miss it!

 

Welp, my legs are now completely numb from sitting on the pot reading this thread (don’t be bashful, you all did the same thing ). All I can say is KDMax tune and call it a day. Invest in a mod you will truly notice and appreciate.
