So I started my truck up today and it’s about 10 degrees Celsius.

From a “Cold and Dark start” I noticed my truck cranks up a bit longer. Around 6 cranks(?) before it turns on.
While my 07 FJ (Same engine) is about 3-4 cranks. Maybe 6 on some days.

    Is this normal?
My normal is 3 cranks from all other vehicles and heavy machinery I have driven. Never had to have the starter engaged for more than 3 cranks unless the battery is dead.

My definition of crank is that loud pulse I hear during startup.

Maybe some of the pressure is bleeding off the fuel system when it sits?
Does the truck crank fast, or as fast as the FJ?
I’m bad to push a battery to the point of “dead”
I have noticed, the slower the engine cranks the longer it took to start.
With a good fresh battery, it spins the engine a lot faster. And starts faster too.
