I haven't brought it up to the dealer yet. Truck only has 2100 miles on it. I'm gonna see how it acts once it gets colder

I finally cleaned my garage out enough to where I can park the truck in there. It is SO nice coming out to a semi warm vehicle with no ice on it in the morning. It has only gotten down to about 20* so far this year here but the only thing I notice when it's cold is the interior rattles like it's held together with painters tape.

I used to get the cold start up grinding noise in my Lexus. It was exactly like described here. It has something to do with a cam gear. Google Lexus IS cold start up noise and you'll see there's tons of threads.

As far as the clutch goes, my truck acts the same way. Where I live it rarely gets below -20C, but from there up to about -10C the return feeling is quite sluggish. I applied some lubricant on the clutch "hydraulic rod" up under the dash, and it seemed to help a bit. I've not gone under the truck to have a look at the slave cylinder yet though.

I bought my truck this summer so every day the weather gets colder I can feel the difference. I have a manual and my clutch gets noticeably slower to return as high as 45 degrees. I've owned a fair number of manual transmissions and I haven't noticed a clutch get sluggish at that high a temperature. It makes me wonder what kind of hydraulic fluid they have in the clutch system and if putting a lower viscosity fluid in would help.

In Missouri it rarely gets below 10 degrees so it won't likely hurt my driving experience much but it's a little annoying. If I lived up where the OP does I'd be putting in a block heater for sure.

Toyota offers a block heater. The salesman should have mentioned it during the sale process.

Yup. I'm getting lots of rattling and slight ticking from certain areas in my truck now that it's getting colder. Just had a small rattling fixed in the overhead area where the crawl control compartment is. Now getting rattling near the "oh shit" handle on the passenger side.

Welp, truck is at the dealer for the 20k service now, and just got a call from the service guy that yes, he agrees it's an issue, and they're digging in to see what it could be. He said they have to work with Toyota corporate on troubleshooting stuff like this on the 'new trucks' (assuming he meant 3rd gens). I'll let y'all know what happens.

'19 Off-Road w/ 1,500 miles, 8K elevation and -20 F, can confirm all of OP's issues are still true except did not get better even after a 40 min drive to work. After warming up (truck and the day) a quick drive at 20 F and it was normal. PS, this is a fun thing to learn about the morning after installing your new intake...

That sucks, and cold weather sucks for me, I didn't realize it gets that cold there as I've only seen the Vegas\LA area while in NV.
That said, here's my take or rather my .02 cents:

    2. Clutch sticks to the floor and is super sluggish. After about 20 minutes of driving it wakes up a bit. -
Maybe the clutch material TOYOTA is using? If so, it should disappear once you R&R the clutch when its replacement time. I suppose it could the clutch fluid too, maybe some air? IDK might be worth checking into by bleeding

    3. Syncros in the transmission do not like to line up. I have troubles getting into 1st gear and have to drop into second a couple of times before I can get it into 1st.
    4. Transmission is stiff until the truck drives for 20 minutes or so. -

Those two I would bundle together, I would try replacing/ draining transmission fluid and going with a lighter weight synthetic oil.

    5. Windshield wipers move at a snails pace. Even on the highest setting they move slow. -The wiper motor is probably made in China grr!
I would think maybe the grease inside the gears maybe causing the (cold) issue, I'm not sure if they have oil inside those motors. I don't recall taking one apart but some may have both. Just try warming it with a heater/dryer is all I can think of for now.

    6. Breaks do not grab well and the break pedal is lethargic. -
I'm thinking it could the lining material being used on the 3rd Gen, if so, when the time comes to R&R I would ask around for an aftermarket replacement better suitable for brutally cold weather

    Stay safe out there
    Cheers!
