I'm doing all I can to prepare for 35s now while my 33s still have juice left next up I'm taking 2.5 off the fenders then ordering bumpers with that taken into account.

I'm leaning more toward that new +2 kit too. Just still on the fence about what to do with the rear and what not.

new favorite tool. the Dead On "Annihilator". I've had it for a few months, but until today only used if for hammering in tent stakes and small stuff. got to really see what it could do today. didn't have to make a single cut in the pinch. the hammer just took care of it on its own. got both pinch welds taken care of, as well as concaving the innner fender well a little more.

rubber undercoated it after, and then bedlined over the rubber coating.

in other news, you're not really stuffing until your upper control arm starts blowing out your inner fender well

:spy: I am a little ashamed to say that I read through your entire thread over the last two days. (only read bits and pieces before)

Your truck is awesome Colin. Very functional and the whole DIY aspect is amazing. I also think my Photoshop concept of the (mostly...) final stage of my truck looks a little like yours :anonymous:

Holy cow, you read the entire thing

There's gotta be a lot of non truck chit chat in the last 100 pages

I appreciate it though. it's been a very fun project that's really come to life in the last 3 years or so. but lots more to come

I enjoy building the truck as much as i do wheeling it. The DIY nature has been a great learning experience, that's taught me so much, and even fueled the start of Overland Off-Road.

I'm digging the photoshop first truck that actually popped into my head was Ryan's truck. got the color scheme, hooped bumper, and roof rack going on

    what rear bumper is that?

best part of that picture is the northern VA home with obligatory siding and a red brick front :D know those all too well

and i'm still only at 1'' of lift :D
hoping to go directly to LT without having to swap springs on these. then the next owner can decide what works best for them.

Annihilator is only about $30 at Home Depot, or Amazon. Dead On makes a miniature one for you Jersey guys :D

Damn, I like that truck! He must not be on TW? Haven't seen it on here.

Yep, NoVa is quite the copy-paste type of place...

Just got done Photoshopping a front view as well as a rear view if you're interested in seeing them. I'm pretty set on the Pelfreybilt rear. I like the new ATO, but it seems like the Pelfreybilt one is a little more thought out as far as the hidden hitch, license plate lights, etc. Tyler also uses a bomb proof spindle for the swingout.

    lol, it's a vicious cycle

I'm really digging all of Tyler's stuff. If i needed any more armor/racks/etc, and couldn't built it myself, him and CBI would be the first i look to.

I like how you photoshopped your license plate on
That's gonna be one well set up truck

Ryan is a member on here. his name is xmadcowx. He's a florida member and tends to stick to the florida BS thread most of the time. He doesn't have a build thread that i can recall.

off the top of my head he had:
    -Icon suspension
    -BFG ATs
    -Pelfrey front bumper
    -not sure what sliders
    -not sure what skids
-one of my custom roof racks with some Rigid lights and shovels/axes
-some high end projector headlights that he retrofit himself
-some other stuff that is escaping me
-he's working on getting a pelfrey rear bumper, and i'm working on designing him a bed rack.

this is all i have of his truck

Tell me about it... haha And that is with a 1" body lift. I'm going to need a grinder to remove my compressor should I ever need to.

i had a bolt just like that on the other side. it was one of the bolts holding down the filter box on my homebrew intake. had to dremel the end off to remove it for the Volant install

Just a heads up, Ryan picked up a real nice CBI rear bumper just a month or so ago. I have his factory rear sitting in my bay at the shop waiting to go on my truck. Since its herculined I figured it would go well with the black bruteforce.

Ah damn  I knew it was the cbi. I've got pictures and emails about it, since we're integrating his bed rack into it.

Gotta make it look realistic, right?

I really like that roof rack. Do you mind PM'ing me a estimated price on something like that? I especially like the Quik-Fists set up on there. You're still away from your tools, etc though correct?

My 33's rub the shit out of my wheel wells. I did the pinch weld and beat it back some so that's good but the top is pretty much getting beat back by the tires. My 33's are skinny enough to not touch the flairs so I haven't had to mess with them yet, other than some hacking at the back and bottom to prevent rubbing while turning.
