Do you push the grommet to the side or through the middle? I'm getting tired of having a puddle on the driver side every time it rains

i actually cut a slit in it, next to the hole that all of the factory wires come through. so the entire grommet is still intact and in place. i cut a small slit for a wire or two, and it just stretches with each new wire. can be hard to get a wire through, but it's never let water in, even in deep crossings.

I just use a metal coat hanger to punch thru the factory grommet. No water or mud thru it ever...

i've had to do that a couple of times with smaller wires. not to make a new hole, but to feed them through the existing one.

for the horror stories i had heard, i was actually pleased with how it went in, even though it isn't near factory.

i have a feeling i'll be adding the steering wheel pod..... i have a wideband afr and volt gauges coming in the mail tomorrow, but i also want to add transmission temp and oil pressure sooner than later.

just the ones i listed. i'm not supercharged, so boost is obviously non needed, and fuel pressure isn't nearly as vital. but afr and oil psi i feel are important to the health of any motor. i also want the afr to keep tabs on the tune on my URD MAF calibrator.

i have the colt gauge coming because of everything i run off my truck, and i want the transmission gauge so i can keep an eye on things when i'm toying and wheeling.

Does your ultraguage fit between the steering wheel guages?

I think being supercharged fuel psi is more important for me. I wouldn't mind adding more but only place I have available, unless I move my add switch, is underneath the ac controls

i was thinking about putting the voltage gauge in the dash or center console, which would then free up a spot for one more, but unless i ever supercharge, my phone pulls and displays pretty much everything else i need from the obd2.

Coat hanger can be sharp enough to slice the insulation on a wire. I use a stiff zip tie with the wire taped to it and spray some windex on it for lubrication.

Torque. I paid the $4 for the upgraded version with the extra features.

Yep. Works alright. I prefer my ultraguage, at least for tracking MPG and fuel, but Torque and the adapter are cheaper. I use that in my DD now.

i've never used it to track mpg, so it's been great for my purposes. spits out more info than i'll ever need. i have two screens of gauges on it that i typically use while driving, and then the pitch and roll meters that i use while wheeling. has options for like 7 different screens, but i haven't even added gauges to those yet since i don't knwo what to monitor lol.

It doesn't show tranny temp does it? I know the ultra guage doesn't but I never thought to check the torque app... Tranny temp is the only thing I'm missing and would like... I imagine with my 4.88's my tranny is just fine though. haha
