In most cases doing anything on the transmitter doesn't affect change... You just have to watch it climb into the ethers...

that would be quite a sinking feeling. i thought it was a bad feeling to see my nitro truck reciever go bad and jump off a bridge into a creek at 45 mph......but seeing your (whatever the hell these things are called) fly higher and higher, knowing it was gonna come down in the worst way would not be fun.

What does a wheeling trip have to do with a radio controlled helicopter thingy?? I have never even seen one of these in person let alone know anything about them so once again please excuse my ignorance.

for scale, the camera below the "cockpit" is similar to the size of the camera on your cell phone

Since we're talking about RCs, this is my most recent project. I already have a full blown 1/10 scale rock crawler. it's a buggy style with dual motors, 4-wheel steering, and 90* suspension flex. for this project, i wanted to build a "scaler", something that is more realistic. this started as a Losi Trail Trekker, a 1/24 scale rock crawler. to get it to this point, i've made some frame and suspension modifications/alterations, siped the tires, and built up a 1/24 scale model body of an old GMC pickup. truck measures about 8.5'' bumper to bumper.

That's pretty sweet! I just saw it on facebook. I want your camo crawler though. I think I would have too much fun with that thing. haha

that's definitely a fun one it's got some serious power with the dual motors, and i haven't even switched them out to brushless ones yet. i have it sitting super low compared to most crawlers that style, so it goes anywhere without flipping.

Nice! Can you run the motors independently as well? Then you can turn sharper if necessary by braking the back tires and powering the front.

not yet. that's on the list after i upgrade to brushless motors and a LiPo capable ESC. hoping to get it to where i can isolate motors as well as steering modes (front steer, rear steer, 4 wheel steer, and crab walk)

yeah, it was like $5700 or something........
