Even if a joke you can't paint ARB snorkels. The UV coating it has stops the paint from adhering. ARB even has a letter floating around somewhere about it.

Is there something else you can do to change the color? I only ask because there's a FJ I always see around here that is colormatched tan to his vehicle.

pretty sure mine's just a reflection. grill paint is just as old as the truck, and neither have really faded much.

which is funny, because mine usually looks small next to all the guys with 3'' lifts and 33s. a lot of it in this picture is the rack though. our roof lines and mirrors are very close to being even

    shadup! :pout:
    you too :pout:

isn't that called stance or something? thought it was supposed to be cool

a 1/4'' thick coat of professionally sprayed on bedliner maybe :notsure:

that way even when it doesn't adhere, it's got high enough tensile strength and stays on the snorkle like a sock lol

Cross linked polyethylene is a low surface energy plastic, meaning that it essentially will not stick to anything, and nothing will stick to it.

    Google "Gougeon co."

They make PEX repair kits and may know how to prep it for paint.

Where's your Trutrac or Locker

I'm all factory under the hood with 4.88's and skinny 33's and I can't even 1 tire fire on pavement:pout: I also live at about 5000 ft so that puts a big damper on power...

I'm at or just under 2" of lift up front now and I have 886's... Damn armor. haha And I don't even have a winch...

I'm not a fan of engaging the locker for a burnout... :D

886s will be next one of these days when I deem the current setup to be invalid for my needs :D

I see where you are coming from, but that's only kind of true depending on what you are doing. For crawling you want height but from tires not lift. The lift is mostly just to fit the taller tires and to add travel in the rear ends case as well as gain a little more clearance.

I didn't mean a burnout per se. Just a better launch. haha Besides the locker is pretty tough. It's only weak point is during engaging.

Lift doesn't change how tires will fit. Lift=travel
