2 foot firestik and medium duty spring are in the mail. just have to toss them on, tune, and i'll be ready for the weekend. from a communications standpoint at least.

at a minimum, before the weekend, i still neet to weld my LCA that has started to crack a weld.

Is it cracking near the bushing side or the ball joint side? Just wear and tear from abuse?

small crack where the arm is welded to the bushing sleeve. forward bushing, where it's under tension. just from use and abuse. if i didn't know it was an issue with the stock arms, i never would have added it to my pre/post wheeling inspections, and probably never have noticed it, until a catastrofic failure.

you have to look real closel. i'll try to get a picture of mine. all it looks like is a crack in the paint that has rusted. hard to see unless you know what you're looking for.

Cool thanks. If it's there though it shouldn't be too hard to find when I have the LCA in my hands and I can move it around to look at whatever angle I wish. haha

    10-4

it's pretty hard to alter the design of a traction bar for these trucks if you are going to keep it in the standard location. just make sure to crank up the heat when you weld the mounts to the axle housing. that thing has so much mass and bleeds off heat so fast, that you see a number of people with underpenetrated welds that crack or tabs that completely break off of the axle.
