I don't know if you saw this with all the LT talk in my BS thread, but I took your advice on the rear diff skid and got the AllPro one.

It leave a hell of a gap to fill at the bottom when welding it on though. We decided to leave the sides open so that if mud and such collects in there I should be able to hose it out the bottom.

Probably should have. It was a lot simpler looking than I had expected when I got it. I also expected it to fit a bit better although like Konsta and I discussed maybe the left the gap on the bottom on purpose so it doesn't become a catch all. I've had it for a couple months now, just barely put it in Sunday.

yeah, leaving some openings at the bottom is good. seal it off and you're just going to rust out the rear of the pumpkin. they are very simple, but it's really all you need.

your diff drain plug looks so much happier than mine

Bahaha. That funny. I noticed it is pretty worn down. About even with the plug now. What is it like 1" tube around it? Maybe I can add a 1/4" to it to keep my drain plug from looking like yours next trip out. Haha Definitely much happy than yours at the moment.

yeah, whenever i get around to it, i'm just going to cut a piece of tube the next size up and essentially sleeve the original plug guard.

luckily a little dremmel work and it came right out. new one is much prettier.

Yeah as I typed my last post I debated doing that actually. Then if it gets shaved down bad again it won't push into the drainplug like it does now.

exactly. i was also thinking of just welding a strip of 2''x1/8'' flat stock along the bottom of the diff housing. between that, the sleeved bolt guard, and an all-pro style diff guard, it's going to be hard to hurd your diff at all. most volnerable part at that point is probably the pinion seal, if you were to smack the front of the diff too hard on something.

Poor trailer just sits at the storage facility these days :( had to stop by it today to grab some wheels and tires out of it.
Can't wait to get a garage again and finish the overhaul

What are you gonna do to the trailer? You mentioned an "overhaul" and I'm assuming you're pointing that towards the trailer.

I currently have separate coils springs and shocks on the suspension. I am going to tear those out and put in an actual coilover.

The enclosure is also too large. I built the enclosure to carry around just about everything I own (minus furniture), for when I had to essentially move from Fl to VA and back every year in college. now that I don't have to handle moeving my own stuff, I want to cut the enclosure height about in half. the goal is a 2-2.5 foot high watertight space, and a rack on top for a RTT.

I want to eventually build a trailer big enough to haul my Grizzly with a rack over it for a RTT. Someday
