I thought you already had 5? gonna run 2 spares?
I may take it from you. shoot me a PM with what you want for it.

Just be ready to cut the shit out of your truck. the height isn't the problem, it's the width. even with 295s that are a tad shorter and about the same amount wider, i not only have to rechop my cab mounts because i still rub on the "standard chop", but at full lock and some compression, I also rub on the frame itsself.

with a reagear it'll be worth it, I just wanted to give you a heads up. i'd recomend getting the hang of welding on your dad's equipment, or pick up a cheap welder for yourself becorehand. it'll make life a whole lot easier, come 35s

yea im hoping if i remove flares, cut most of cab mount off and reweld and beat pinch weld back with the 3.25in of lift or so i have ill be ok....i may need to get 2in wheel spacers from ecgs and sell the spidertrax.....acording to treadwrights website 315's are 1.5in taller and wider then i have right now 33.3 vs 34.7 10.2 vs 11.8........so its only 3/4in actual gain ill have to clear for....from looking at it today the cab mount and a very little bit of firewall is all that will hit on full stuff....this could get interesting buddy :)

remember, lift doesn't have anyhting to do with tire fitment. but you seem to have the right ideas. you'llprobably have to cut the pinch weld instead of just beating it (i had to cut mine). I hactually need to cut my pinch completely off and just lay a regular bead down the seam. I'm curious of the effects of the 2'' spacer. if they seem to fit when you do the test fit using a spidertrax, i'd stick with that.

good call. in fact, unless the 315s rub the spindle or UCA with the 1.5s, i bet a 2 inch would rub even more.

hey how much were you able to adjust the tires forward from the cab mount with the LR ucas?

I didn't try. just put the spc logo out so it's in the zero position. i figured i'd rather cut up the fenderwell and cab mount more than sacrifice on-road handling at this point.

Just tint and ppl for now.
I rotated mine one notch forward from logo out. Then had the alignment shop adjust the caster on the bottom to max and was at 2.4. Rides great on the road like that. I don't get any rub on my cab mounts anymore. Before, I had caster set at 2.6 with logo out and would get cab mount rub during flex.

Soooooo, I'm thinking about building my own set of UCAs this summer if I have the time..... i'd take off the LRs, make sure they are set where i want them, and then build a jig around them. then put them back on while i build a new set using the jig. Compared to other suspension components on our trucks, the UCAs undergo relatively low forces. however, I will build them as if that were not the case.

the plan would be to use a 1.25'' stainless FK uniball. Greasable bushings for the frame pivots (not sure if i would use poly or delrin yet), and then thicker walled tubing than any of the current UCA manufacturers. I would also strap the bushings and uniball cup for extra tensile strength at the welds, and then gusset the tubes on the bends. then to cap it off (litteraly), i would make a dust cap similar to what comes on the Icon billit UCAs and the allpro long travel UCAs.

    two reasons for doing this:
    1) I want uniball ucas, mostly for ease of maintenance
    2) I want to prove to myself that i can build a stronger product than what's out there (with the exception of the icons), and for a much lower price.

edit: 3rd reason: ball joint UCAs and spindle gussets are kind of a pain in the butt when paired together.......

I hate SWB on tacomas, but let me say, yours is literally the only one I approve of. This thing is a beast. Props/rep to the max. Great job, and great choice of road armor. All pro FTW!

I'm not sure i need the extra adjustment, and it woud make it more labor intensive, but they aren't too much more expensive, so it's something to consider.

    Thanks man! :oldglory:

I'm not sure I want to get that serious quite yet. pretty sure firestone wouldn't be too happy having to take out the uca bolts to do an alignment. I could align it myself, but I'd rather just take it to them since it's free. may do it to have the option later on down the road though.
