Colinb17's kinda sorta build thread - now with 4-link and long travel

I wheeled for 3 years on mine, then supplanted jawsome torque and speed through them. Then sold them to put on a Jeep with 3/4 tread. Clearly I did not wheel as hard as you guys. lol.

 

rocks aren't as sharp in texas either, so i'm sure they hold up a little better. them rear mounted turbo burnouts though

 

Going to Hankooks when I get done with these 33 Km2's. Way soft...

 

you stayin 33 or going like everyone else to a 35? if you stay 33 and want to keep running skinnies I will put my vote in for the maxxis bighorns, more than pleased with mine so far.

 

you'll really like them.

if it weren't a 100 lb tire in a 37, there would be no contest when i go up another size. but since it's so rediculous, i might as well toss some others into the mix.

 

35's need more clearance

SEE!!!! I knew it! there is something about that VA crowd that just makes them cut up their trucks for 35's. Hmmm, hopefully I can move up there soon to test the theory, after I wear out my brand new skinnies of course.

 

I'm still at about 50% tread on mine but over them already. Chopping the truck ain't no thing.

Things be moving fast these days. Working on a mortage pre-aproval. as soon as that comes back, i'll be putting in an offer on a house in MD. hoping to have the offer in tomorrow or sunday.

 

Ya I'll prob just stick with these for a while. We don't have any rc tracks here on Kodiak so I don't need track tires yet. But, we do have a small BMX track on base that's all of a 100 yards from my house so I'll be using that. I will look into those trenchers tho.


And it looks like our talk about rc tires keeps spurring talk about truck tires

 

you need some paddle tires for when it snows! 4 wheel paddles is really really fun.
