I know the feeling! But I had an accurate estimate for the first time ever yesterday...cab mount chop, 4 brake lines, 4 superbumps, and a set of OME Dakar leaf springs...estimated 4-5 hrs, took exactly 5 hrs!

Yeah well still waiting on valve shims for the 3rd week now from Bilstein so I can put my rear shock back together and maybe drive my junk. Then I have to put my new PS pump on and align it and I will be all set.

These are my 7100 rear shocks. Blew out the drivers side when I broke my leaf spring in half last time out. Then discovered why my pair of 14" 7100's was so cheap years back when I got them...they were valved differently, lol. Fixing that problem while I replaced seals, and adding bumpstops lol. Ran out of time to get them on last time. Got a set of poly bumps and a set of 4" Fox hydrobumps, just don't know what I am gonna use for front and what for the back yet.

Trucks been sitting since. No plans to wheel anytime soon until life settles down a bit. Got bigger fish to fry at the moment.

Had a few trips planned for April, Harlan, KY and a trip to Flat Nasty in MO, but cancelled both. :(

I will not cancel for the UA if I get picked :D

Good luck!!! That'd be the second solid axle 2nd gen to get the invite.

I'm hopelessly waiting on an invite to the Lucky 8 Easter Expedition in eastern Canada, but they have a habbit of only picking rovers and unimogs :pout:

First one was a douche and a poser build. Guy took out a loan and had a shop build it for him, no comparison, lol. Don't even get me started on the geometry of that swap either. And he didn't even make it the first day because his shit wasn't even done yet. And then all the problems he had...tisk tisk. IMO he should have never been picked.

I am confident I will make the dirty dozen, and hopeful I make the final cut. I have some plans in the works to change some things up before then too :D

but dem rear shackles so pretty

being a "roof rack builder" if there is such a thing, i always hated his little orange roof bar. with the frame and body flex on these things, he's probably torn or cracked part of the roof by now, and leaking all over the place. I didn't know he paid to have ti built, but now it makes a little more sence. taking a loan to do it is just the shamefull icing on the cake.

Yup the whole build is on pirate. He didn't even have completed photos to send for submission, just some pics in the shop of half an axle rolled under it and he got in, so I am trying to stay confident (not cocky) since I had actual wheeling pics of mine and have wheeled it for 7 years and three major suspension systems:cool:

    450. It's the sk450 from hobbyking. Really like the ball in the front for orientation... Although it doesn't really help me atm since I suck at flying it. :D

not sure what CBI uses, but they cantilever some serious weight off of theirs without issue. may be worth contacting them about as well.

For a bushing swing out, yes, doubel it up with good vertical separation. for a steel spindle, one is good if it is a quality unit.

our date god bumped back a little looking at late summer most likely now....

did just pick up a new buggy though :D
