I don't mind long hours, I use to average 60 hours a weeks before I went back to school. Not afraid to move as long as it's not a recurring relocation.

    Wheel: $200
    Tire: $270
    TC LCA tabs: $100

That's what I know for sure needs to be replaced. I'll let you know what the official writeup has on it. I can probably get away without replacing the wheel. The lip is bent in a bit, but I guarantee a new tire will hold air on that wheel.

The scrub bar horn was ripped off the slider, which put a good dent in it. I told the guy they needed to be replaced. :D

odds are it would be recurring unfortunately. unless you moved to our main engineering office in Kansas city, but even then, it's not guaranteed to be a long term location.
you'll work 60 hours Monday through Friday, and if you're on a job site, likely another 10 hours on Saturdays.

    Here's the slider in question.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the spindle is bent.

And the lower control arm pushed through the tab.

Original Tacoma: 6" lift, air bags in the rear, 17x9.5 XD Series rims w/ 35" Cooper STT Pro tires. Body Armor rear bumper with swing arm tire mount, TRD Exhaust, URD True Cold Air intake, TRD Front Brakes, RIGID INDUSTRIES grill and LED bar installed in it, LED Rear Lights, TracRack rack system, tool box. Sold the truck. Bought 2016 ram 2500 Laramie diesel. (7/2016) Picked up 97 Tacoma 4x4 Extended Cab 3.4L. Building motor now. (8/2017)
My driver's side Lower Control Arm pushed through the alignment tab two weeks after I lifted my truck and took it off road. Purchased 3 year alignment program through sears and been taking it in every month or so to realign! Finally going to 6" lift this week, so will have new cross member and new tabs.. :) @SMKYTXN

    well shit......
I don't know if it would have made a difference with a slam like that, but it looks like we got great penetration on the slider, but probably should have preheated (and maybe even post heated) the shit out of that billet coupler.

The tube coupler was further up. We had a pipe to tube weld there, and yes, it held up pretty well considering. Guess I need to knock the one on the other side now. :D

    ah yes, I remember now.

that's actually more impressive now, that the pipe did that to the slider. I would have figured that the lip of the pipe would buckle and the DOM slider would be fine. then again, we did ise sch 40 pipe, that has about the same wall thickness as .120 DOM, so that would have created one hell of a pressure point.

All that armor and that Fiat ninja slid under it. Doh! I'm certain it helped prevent worse damage yes? Stinking small cars....

That slider looks like it was bitten by a zombie.

Yup. The pipe was about 6" long, so there was a pretty good moment arm on it.

I had zero body damage, though the body shop thinks I did. :D

I wish the car had been a few seconds faster through the intersection so I could have caught it with the ARB. That would have been a totally different outcome.

    Good thing for armor.

Check your steering rack, and diff movements too.

I checked the steering last night. She turns just fine. Well, until the tire hits the cab mount or uca.

I sank deeper in the snow drifts than the dogs did.....

had to shovel in waves so we could stay ahead of the snow. this was Saturday morning, with another foot to 18 inches coming.

    one of the stuck plows
    [IMG]

    getting the plow unstuck
    [IMG]

doubt I'll ever see the beltway this empty ever again.

drove home from DC on sunday, and was disappointed with how much less snow we got, just an hour and a half away....
