This is awesome. Glad you could get out without damage to the truck. Been looking at a lot of different recovery gear lately and your posts really show what's necessary/practical to have. Still the sickest truck I've ever seen here.

And put me down for a rear bumper if you ever start making them again ;)

Thanks, Wes! There are plenty of trucks on here further along than mine though.

I buy new/different recovery gear on a fairly regular basis, and have used every single item i've gotten. what are you looking at getting?

i'll make sure to let people know if i can start building rears. you and tim are first on the hypothetical list.

daily. couple pounds heavier than a comparable MT, but they are great on-road. soft tread sticks like glue on asphalt. handles like a sports car........with about 15 degrees of body roll

Off topic. I found a guy selling some Alcans. Should I get them and what shocks should I run on the rear?

this entire thread is off topic lol

I really don't have a lot of experience with the Alcans. only set i've installed and the ridden with was a custom set they made to fit a truck with a 4'' RCD drop bracket. they were definitely nice, and the guy towed a lot at the time. they held up to the towing and wheeling.

how much lift are they going to give you? can you properly match the lift with the front to your satisfaction.

as for shocks, that's up to you. all of the big names are great. my advise is just to get the longest shock you can properly fit in there.

I'm unsure of lift, it's a 8-leaf pack with no overload. The rear sags pretty bad. The front only has spacers on it. I am trying to piece everything together instead of buying a kit. Really only looking for a couple inches of lift and work more on flex and armor. He only wants 200 for the springs so I'm probably going to get them anyways.

worst case is that if it's too stiff or has too much lift, you can just start removing springs until you're happy. 200 is a pretty good price for springs (that aren't worn out)

I'm assuming you have in-cab winch controls? Can you still connect the wired/wireless remote and control the winch that way if you have the in-cab?

You need to get a list of mods in your OP :spy:

I was just wondering how he's doing. What about rhodehard Ryan? I agree you need a list of mods.

Jason's doing well. he's blazing through school.

Ryan on the other hand.......pretty sure he's dead or in jail. he just dissapeared one day and we haven't seen or heard from him since.

I keep forgetting about that list :(

What C/O's are you running up front and what is the spring rate of the coils?

Icons with the stock springs. definately need the next step up with how heavy my truck has gotten, but i'm just going to hold out for long travel. no point in revalving adn slapping new springs on if i'm just going to change it out shortly.

yep, in cab winch panel from 12voltguy. i spliced into the control wires inside the solenoid box, so i can still use the wired remote if needed.

I was just thinking it looks like your front end stuffs good. haha. I have OME 886's and mine rides nice, but lacks stuff... Although maybe mine would do that too if I got that far up an RTI.
