Is it possible to just get the front icons without the coils and use my stock ones?

nope. aftermarket coilovers usually use coils with flat tops and bottoms, while factory style coils don't completely flatten out, so you have to have either a rubber bushing or thatoffset spring cup.

    why do you ask?

I don't want much lift and want to emulate your truck.

    aww, shucks ;)

no, i meant the coils that come "stock" on the icons. they are indeed icon's 650# springs. if i'm, not mistaken, they are actually manufactured my eibach, but either way, it's a much different spring than when comes from toyota. sorry for the confusion.

as for the lift, the icons come preset for about 2-2.5 inches of lift. you can turn the collar up or down though and adjust them to stock height, or even just a hair over 3 inches. the same goes for most factory replacement coilovers with threaded bodies.

Best place to purchase? So I can get the 700# springs and just adjust as needed?

Colin, your first couple of videos are private and It kills me cause I want to see em! Sick rig man. Do you always have you bed rack on? or do you have some sort of pulley lift in your garage?

Yeah, someone else let me know about that last week and i haven't been able to fix it yet. something is wrong on youtube's end, becasue when i log into my account, and go to the settings, they are listed as public. i may just reload them to youtube.

as for the bed rack, It stays on all of the time. not only because i don't have a garage at the moment, but becasue of a lot of the stuff the bed rack houses, is stuff you want on a daily basis. in addition to the spare tire, it also holds my hi-lift. the factory jack really doesn't work to well on my truck anymore, so it's good to always have the hilift. additionally, i have a camera and rear facing flood light wired up to the rack. they have disconnections, but it's still time consuming. I've only taken the rack off a handfull of times sinei built it. took it off a couple times when i was building a bed rack for another member on here, and then a couple times that i was moving some big items, but my trailer was out of commission for a suspension rebuild.

I'll let you know how they are. i don't think the big ones are fitting in a truck box though. i was thinking about mounting them on the top of my toolbox though. gonna have to see where they fit best.

Anyone have a stock intake for the 4.0 laying around? wanting to do a snorkel, but i can't for the life of me, think of a good way to hook one up to an aftermarket style intake and still have it be dust and watertight.
