    yeah, got that taken care of. i combined the cameras and monitor into a single power wire and hooked that up to IG2, so they only get power when the key is on, and they are no longer occupying 2 spots in the fuse box.

    the monitor has a remote wire, like what you run to a stereo amp, that allows it to be turned on only when the proper equipment also has power. apparently i don't even need the remote wire though. just by luck, the power button works like a regular switch for lights or something, and is non momentary. so now i just make sure it's clicked on once, and it the monitor and cameras automatically turn on and off with the key. no more hitting the power button on the monitor every time i get in and out :)
