Inevitably it will happen, Kane likes lying in the dirt. But camping, i thought this would be a great idea. I have a cot for him for outside, kinda clunky to bring with me, so i got this one thats collapsible. Packs up pretty small and holds his 90lbs like nothing.

Will this work for if I need to leave my dog in the enclosed bed while I catch a round of golf?

I have a dog bed too, works fine until dog decides to lay in dirt then not so fine.
I learned no matter what you do, your dog is still gonna roll in shit and eat vomit. Dogs are dogs.

Oh yes, it will decrease yhe temperature from 120 degfees in the covered bed to a "real feel" temperature of 115.

    Yeah.
Thanks, that is cool. My dog will hang out under the truck part of the time, but when everyone is around the fire he wants to hang with us. I have to bring an extra chair for him, but he gets his lead caught on the arms when he gets up to chase a sound. This might just be the ticket, but then again, he might reject it and steal my chair.

I have a cot for mine to use at the cabin but the boy (picture in my avatar) lays in the dirt next to the firepit. Inside, he is on the couch. I might try something like this though. It is a little bigger than what I am using now.

Well, i bet you could sit on the cot if he steals your chair. Its pretty sturdy. It wasnt too expensive for what it is either.

We just got the same exact one for our 6-month-old shepherd mix rescue. We are using it for training purposes but it will double as a camp bed. We throw a towel on it and she loves it.
