No... you were right the first time... Bama looked GOOD! We tried to give it back in the third quarter, before deciding we still wanted to win.

    I guess the black-out gimmick didn't work.

    ROLL TIDE!

y'all should def roll now........schedule looks like a cake walk from here out.........only test would be LSU. But, then again nobody is guaranteed to win.

What a week for upsets, including the Wolverines coming back from 19 points down.

I thought you were going to be right... OU, LSU, Bama, but apparently the AP Voters differ. None of the polls out right now matter anyway.

Does anybody know when the BCS poll comes out?

Its traditionally after the 8th week has been played.

By the way, good win 'Bama. UGA looked flat and I called that before the ASU game. If we wanted to win out we had to come in wanting to win out and being excited about it, but instead we came out in the black jerseys looking like a black jersey equaled and automatic win. Fucking pathetic, but that still doesn't detract from the outstanding play 'Bama came into town with. Who knows, if we can win out maybe we'll be seeing you in Atlanta, but I'm not sure we deserve that.

Either way, its starting to look like a Big 12/SEC national championship which means we may get our first good national championship game since prior to UFs win (not that their win wasn't good, but the game was boring since OSU didn't remember they were playing football.)

If we win out, I think that we'll probably meet UGA again in ATL. That will be an excellent game. I guarantee that UGA doesn't try the black-out again.

We just have to keep our heads. I'm now convinced that we can beat everybody on our schedule, but that doesn't mean we will.

You know what bothers me about the black out? That the media turned it into something it wasn't. The seniors basically got together and said they wanted black jerseys the way last years seniors got them and automatically it became a huge issue. I love the black jerseys, I think they look awesome, but at no point did anyone (that I saw at least) on the team or coaching staff say "these black jerseys make us automatically a 99 overall team on NCAA 09." It started to annoy me how it was turned on us by 'Bama and the media (no disrespect to 'bama though because that funeral comment was pretty funny).

I have to say two things about the game though A-I was really impressed with our fans to stick out the whole game. 31-0 at the half, I would have bolted just so I could be the first one in line at Ace hardware the next day to buy big thick rope to hang myself with. Also, I was really hoping they would have walked out in red after the half to punish the players for showing up to the game 30 min. too late. Who knows though, hopefully this game will act like the Tenn. game did last year for us and spark a fire under our asses so that we can go into this bye week and come out n crush the rest of our schedule.

On a different note though, how the hell is USC still top ten? They lose to the garbage of the Pac-10 and they fall the same amount of spots UGA does for losing to a top 10 team? I'm so sick of this 'parity' crap, its become almost acceptable to lose to a far worse team and almost to the point where it rewards you more to lose because of 'parity' then because you got slaughtered by a top-10 team that clearly wanted the game more. Why can't coaches just come out and say "we played a horrible game, we beat ourselves" rather than saying "we lost to a very good program"...freaking Oreg. State isn't a good program (reference the Penn State game if you'd like).

The team wore black jerseys. The fans wore black shirts. Thats all, just something fun that got blown out of proportion.

I def. think that it helped 'motivate' last year because we looked more flat prior to Auburn then we did going into this game, but its not an automatic. Plus last season it had appeal being the first time ever (although I think I recall black jerseys from like 30 years ago though, but nothing came up on google.) Three times in one year is over kill and I hope they don't break them out for their bowl game or for any game in the near future for that matter.

At least when UGA decides that theyre going to do all of one color...it works

Clemson asked everyone to wear orange...not purple, not blue, not white...ORANGE...simple concept

Our team comes out in PURPLE jerseys and white pants

    WTF

we didnt even have purple jerseys until like 20 years ago and now its beginning to look like its our home uniforms

At least all black can look intimidating...all purple :puke:

We weren't 100%. What I don't get is that if 91,000 people know its a black out, what happened with the 1,000 people wearing white/red/even saw one guy in yellow. How did you not get that memo?

Yeah, I understand your frustration, lol. Last year when we did it against Auburn the team captains came out in red much to the dismay of the crowd. But then the rest of the team followed out of the tunnel rawkin' the black. Pretty sweet.
