Coloardao Trail Day Thread

very nice, im looking to do something very similar.

 

Here is where I mounted mine. Had ORS (when they were open) build me a plate to put it on. Used the factory holes in the fender and then added a leg to the bottom with a piece of threaded rod for additional support.

 

any other takers for a afternoon run up lefthand tomorrow?

 

if weather's shitty on sunday and im not riding id be down to go somewhere but my nro's grad party is tommorrow

Damn. Working on this backyard project still. Just waiting for 6 yards of mulch to be delivered so we can finish up. That sucks would have loved to meet you guys for this run.

trails were great...got tons of photos and having issues with photobucket currently but 188 photos are pending as soon as the website cooperates

 

ive got 163 or so to post, but work is blocking photobucket, and yesterday was way too nice to not go to the park for 7 hours.....

 

I have about 45min to an hours worth of HD footage from this weekend. I rode along on a Penrose, Liberty, run... that is some crazy shit. It totally has me rethinking how serious I want to get in to Wheeling.

I think my build is going to still be headed in the same direction but some of the parts I was considering and where I want to take my truck has changed. My truck is my DD, so until I get another vehicle, I am going to start stashing some money for repairs and parts.

sweet, i just saved a spot on the first page for some of my pics. do you use photoshop for editing?

 

i use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.5

very easy to adjust setting on the photos real quick (exposure, temperature, black levels, recover, fill light, sharpness, color boosting/reduction, etc) and minor photoshop'ing (see below for my best photoshoping)

Possibly, it depends on how my skills grow. I would like to be able to do my own trail maintenance, but all I can do right now is turn some wrenches.

I will get gears front/rear with a selectable for the front, coils up front and a custom progressive setup for the rear. I will probably get some nicer rims with 285s. I won't be doing 35's any time soon, a crawler, front bumper, long travel front, etc.

I also think its a good idea to start buying spare CVs, tools for the trail, more recovery gear, etc. I have a Shopping list on Amazon with about $450 worth of recovery gear, that I will start piecing together.
