I struggled with color choices as well..........in the end I went with old school blackness.

 

Taliban tan! That’s what my dang kid said about my new Taco! He offered to mount a 50 cal in the bed for me but it’s been 10 months so I’m not holding out much hope.

It sounds like Inferno Orange is off the table for you. I wouldn’t commit to it because of your existing uncertainty. Magnetic Gray Metallic is a safe color choice, but it’s mediocre in my opinion. Barcelona Red Metallic looks spectacular on 3rd Generation Tacomas! I went with Silver Sky Metallic because I liked silver 1st and 2nd Generation Tacomas and silver is low maintenance for me. If I had to choose another color, I think I’d go with Quicksand. It’s a throwback and seems easy to keep clean. Just my opinion.

First off, no 4x2! Get the 4x4 in MGM!

 

Blue!! Tan is ok I suppose, can't tell if it's clean or dirty.

 

Orange is the color of a fruit and should therefore, remain the color of a fruit. When you have 3 Inferno Taco’s at 3 houses in a row on your street, it loses it’s appeal, quickly.

I got rid of the silver TRD 4x4 decals and put these on along with black pinstripe.

 

Looks good, my ocd would kill me if I didn't get the aftermarket stickers 100% perfect so I just left the stockers on

I had a guy do it in about 5 minutes. He was awesome! Took 15 minutes total to take the old ones off. Charged me 20.00! (Find a sign shop that does decal stuff for a living.)

Quicksand looks the best out of all the colors with aftermarket parts, stock it looks horrible. I had a radiant red gen 2, wish that was still a color choice. Quicksand around a military base looks dumb, so no go around these parts. Would do cement if buying an 18
