Looking to get LED fog lights to replace my current ones. My question is should I go with the Amber or the LED 5000k to match my HIDs?

I've never really understood the point of the Amber Fog lights, I've seen a bunch of cars with them but it doesn't seem as bright. I wanted them to widen the path of the my current lights.

Can any tell me the real benefits of the ambers? Which would you go with?

I use my amber covers on my Rigids for fog and white out snow conditions. I drove in a bad snow storm once and it saved me and my friends. Won't drive in the winter anymore without any amber lights:

Yellow or amber cuts through fog or heavy snow better than white or blue light, I think it’s a science thing.

This - depends entirely on what you're going for. If you're like a chunk of the guys on here (myself included) who deal with fog/snow/dust/etc. the amber is the obvious answer (white reflects and is REALLY FUCKING BRIGHT). But, if that's not a concern for ya, do the white if you like it. Your truck - your call.

I have amber pods and I couldn't be happier with them. Only recommendation I have is DON'T SKIMP! Make sure you get a quality product, especially for heads/fogs

Edit: all my lights are from a company called Black Oak LED. They're neck and neck with Rigids IMO and at a good price. Feel free to choose what's best for you, but these guys DEFINITELY got my vote (no, they don't pay me :D but the truck is sponsored by 'em)

I put yellow Hella bulbs in my stock fogs within the first week of ownership. My truck is my daily commuter rig through rain, fog and snow. Function over form .

Exactly this. If form also works itself out - that's a bonus.
