I plan on doing this to my Corolla. Do you happen to know the grit of that sandpaper (or was that some special scrub pad that I should buy)?

All depends how somebody paints. We went to look at a BMW for my mom that somebody "painted"

They used exterior house paint and a roller :D

How does it look from a distance?

I just installed a color-matched satoshi (not a Homer) and I'm not happy with the color. Up close, it looks very good - pretty much an exact match. However, from a distance, it looks much brighter than the factory paint. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think it reflects light differently.

I'm either going to see if I can combine the satoshi inner grill (aftermarket) with my factory outer grill (not sure if that's possible), or try repainting. If I repaint, I think I'm going to give this a try.

    Thanks!

Nice! They have some quality stuff. The clear is very nice!

My color is weird, as you can see in the pictures it looks black unless light hits it. A guy that's seen my truck for a month and a half just found out 2 days ago it's green when the sun finally hit it.

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
I agree that the ATU paint is awesome, pretty dead on. I didn't use their clear, i used a 2k clearcoat in a rattle can, pretty awesome stuff, lays out really flat and it is very durable compared to non catalyzed paint.

How much color match paint did you have after you were done?

Now that I see this I want to do my grill AND bumper, 3-4 cans should do it you think?

I would get 4 cans, maybe 5 to be safe. I use up a can on a grill and its not that much surface area. I do 4-5 light coats.

I have maybe 1/8-1/4 can left after doing the grill. I put 4 good coats on top of a light mist coat
