Paint it yourself, if you take your time, it will look exactly OEM. It's not like you're painting a huge panel where you'll be able to tell it's from a rattle can.

I paid $189 from Camelback Toyota and sold my old chrome for $125 on CL. That is the only way to go IMHO

I painted mine with the Dupli Color Toyota super white.
Primered it with 2-3 layers of coat and 3 layers of paint. No clear , I read in a post that the white had clear built in and if I was to add clear it would have turned yellowish.
    It turned out pretty good.

How much paint did you need? Would one 12oz can of the color I need and one 12oz can of clear coat be enough?

Yesterday I was doing a bit of off roading and a tree branch smacked my grill surround and broke it. I cant find just the surround for sale, have to buy the whole grill assembly. Is this the norm. The tree branches also scuffed up the paint all over sides, hood and roof. I was able to wipe off the scuffs with my finger but have no idea if I should just wash and wax or what. Any suggestions would help me out, only owned the truck for 6 months and it pains me to have these ugly spots.

A good wash and some time spent waxing will pull out most scuffs and scratches. I had my fair share of Rocky Mountain Pin striping on my Taco but a good wax and few coats of sealant she looks brand new. As far as the grill goes Im pretty sure you have to buy the full assembly unless you can find a good junkyard.
