Color matching TRD grille badges

There is white on website....just ordered one myself. Silver will go on the xB.............

 

I had some issues with my equipment crapping out on my but if all goes well I'm hoping to paint white on monday.

 

There are two whites, 3rd gen is 040 super white and old ass trucks like my '02 Tundra are 056 Natural white. Safe to assume you're going to use 040 Super White?

 

Just placed an order.

 

White is currently sold out and note my comment above about how there are two Toyota whites, I assume 056 Natural white is not in the cards, hence why I figured I'd ask before getting matte black.

 

Oh yes sorry I use the 040 and won't have the 056 natural white unfortunately.

Understand the differing paint codes but for the grill badge would 040 be that glaringly different on a truck painted 056 is what I meant. super white badge is gonna be brighter than my "mostly" white bumper skin but not in car shows so it'll be OK.

 

Likely no. But I do think 040 pops a bit more than 056. In Hindsight, had I gonads, I might have repainted in 040. But my 20 year old 056 with one crappy fender repaint, well it’s got more yellow than any nice new white 3rd gen.

 

yep, 2nd gen white is also 040.

 

I hear ya...my 15 yr old front bumper paint doesn't quite pop like the rest of the body

 

Any word on the Super White grill letter covers?

 

Swapped out silver for white and moved it up a notch. Likin the color matching and repositioning much better. Silver one headed to the xB.......

 

Real sorry I had to push it back as I was only able to get through red this week. I am prepping everything to see if I can paint them this friday. Sorry about that.

Some were asking about a PRO version as well. I am hoping to have these up soon as well (just doing last minute tweaks to the design). Will only have red up for a while (until I can identify all the pro colors for 4runner, tundra and tacomas)

 

What’s the dimensions of the trd grille badge, height and width?
I didn’t see this info on the website

 

They are roughly 6 inches wide by 2 inches tall. Thickness is a little under an inch. Screws in the back go back 2 inches and the 2 screws are spaced out 3 inches (so you will need 2 entrances that are 3 inches apart with something in the center to grab onto).

just ordered the Lunar Rock

 

Can't decide between and LR (blend) and Performance Red (pop)

 

I had a cheaper version in red, it was ok on the lunar rock, now I believe the lunar rock one will look better

 

I am leaning towards the blend. Let me know what you think of is once you get it on!
