Color matching TRD grille badges

So after a little testing it looks like this is what i found.



If placed here the same bracket would work and all i would need are longer screws.



If placed here it would need a longer bracket but due to the slanted design in the back it would have to be reworked into something new.

I just placed an order for longer bolts. Within 1-2 weeks i should have them and then the badge will be compatible with the 2020 grill. Unfortunately it will only fit the way it is shown.


In essence it will fit any of the green spots and not the red (until i get the longer bolts)

Hector - Glad you came to the same conclusions as I did.. Due to the design and the slant you would have to span 2 rows to get to another one that is on the same plane.

Let me know when you get a new design in performance red and I will order again.

 

My order is on the slow boat to Ohio. LOL Left CA on 7/13 and status says in transit, arriving late. I am not a fan of USPS right now. I'll let you know once it arrives.

Do you have a unpainted option available? Would save you some time and materials having to paint and assemble for the people who want to paint their own custom colors. I wanted something to match my Pro Grill logo exactly. I was thinking to getting your TRD logo and painting them to match the grille or painting both logos so they match. Just a thought. Thanks!

 

I can send out the letters unpainted but there is actually one issue. To attach the letters I use 3m tape and then weld it in through a hole in the back with a 3d pen (melts plastic right into the letter as a ball to attach it) See pic below:



This would mean that you would have to get a 3d pen to be able to attach the letters (as the 3m tape alone wont last)

 

Once I have them available please send me a message (no need to reorder).

Those that purchased it for the 2020 once I have the longer bolts available please send me a message.

Yeah these delays in the usps are killing me. If for any reason it doesn't arrive next week send me a message and Ill see what I can do.

 

So will the original design (with the shorter bolts still line up on the green areas in your image.? My apologies for not trying every slot if that is the case.. I will go back and try those locations when I get a chance.

 

It does line up but the bolts are too short. they do not reach.

 

Understood.. In that case let me know when the next model is available in Performance Red and I will give it another go! Sweet product by the way and hats off to you for caring so much about your product and customer satisfaction.

 

I will have to research how much one of those 3d pens cost. Would epoxy work?

i am in the same boat. Not sure about the Performance Red against the MGM. However, it does look like you have the TRD skid plate. If you do, then I believe the red accent will balance the front to match the red on the skid. Just my opinion. Basically, I am on the fence with Performance Red or Silver Sky. What do you think?

 

If you want it to "pop," then get Performance RED. If you want to be subtle, go SILVER SKY. Can't go wrong... just your preference.
