Vacationing in Canada is awesome. I hit every garage sale and flea market in my neighborhood to buy up all the old Monopoly games for spending cash

Never really paid attention cause either way I’ll have to fill up but now that you mention it, I just filled up for $46. It was like $30-35 last month and I always run my tank down to 1/8.

Trucks and big SUVs were dirt cheap back in like 2010 when gas was $5 a gallon. Priuses had as much demand as the Tacomas today.

How much was your monthly payment during the lease and how much did you put down?

Maybe it was stated already. Tried to look through 3 pages of people talking gas prices...

Seems like an awfully low residual for a 3 year lease. But if that’s all correct then you made out like a bandit.

    edit: is it a 4x2?

oh yes. I would never recommend a lease. Not ever. Lots of money just going to a dealership. I got lucky. I have a family friend that works at the dealership, so I got $7k off basically. Sticker said $38k and I got out the door (after $2k down) for $31k or so

Yes, 4x2. I live in San Diego and the truck will be going to my daughter. I don’t need her doing anything stupid, lol.

I plan to retire in Texas. I will buy a 4x4 out there for sure. If things continue as they are, it will probably be a Tacoma

Makes sense. I was trying to crunch some figures and Was thinking there’s no way it adds up. But then figured maybe it was a 4x2 and that makes a lot more sense. I guess you can thank covid for that, otherwise the used car market would be lower making the Tacoma worth less. That was the only reason I didn’t keep my last truck (F150) after the lease (3yr), the truck was only worth around ~28-29k. It was a stickered at 50k. Now unfortunately the same truck after another 5 years because of covid is still worth close to that.

exactly. I would guess that I would be close to even if covid hadn’t happened

hahaha!! This dude is legit. Lifted, off road tires and a bed that is retractable to the roof. He has two. One is lowered and the other is lifted
