I had a lifetime of clunkers and wheezers, cheap old vehicles of opportunity that got the job done just fine. The Tacoma is my retirement present to myself - an old mans trophy, something to polish. It stays in the garage and doesn't go out in the winter.

What I discovered is keeping a vehicle shiny is a lot of work... :bananadead:

I also discovered that I have no natural talent for it what so ever. :anonymous:

Clay bar, Rejex, hydrosilex wipe down. Old school California style low rider brush scrub undercarriage frame and suspension parts.. Rejex the windows for ludicrous speed Space Balls style effects when in the rain so you don’t have to use the wipers and scratch the glass… A LOT of work indeed! Black and Army green would be the hardest to maintain but would be worth it, just don’t take it through car washes and wash it with other peoples’ dirt. Spiderwebs in the paint show more on the darker colors.

@RustyGreen, Same here, my Tacoma has never had the pitter patter of rain drops nor snowflakes upon its shiny black paint hahaha...

I get laughed at for buying a 4x4 to not drive in the snow.

@RustyGreen, this should be good for a laugh as well. I've had the truck for about a year and just turned 1,172 miles... During the winter months it sits in the garage with Goodyear Dura Tracs on steel wheels ready for action should the need arise. Our other car is a Subaru with real snows so the Taco going out is unlikely. If it's that bad out we stay home.

Being retired is a wonderful thing...

I don’t so much “regret” white, but I do like cement a lot. That being said, the cement color isn’t unusual either. I find it very common to see. My other favorite is the discontinued Calvary Blue. Unfortunately, it wasn’t even an option in 2020 models. The Apple Car Play and power seat was more important than hunting for a used truck in that color.
