If anyone wants a project top, I looked at this yesterday but passed. It’s a Bestop for a short bed but is is well used and beat up. The rear window has had a piece of fabric stitched over it and the snaps along the sides have been screwed in. I offered $160 and she said she’d take $180, so I walked. It’s around Sheridan and 72nd.

well, I'm a live incase anyone was wondering. St Paddys was a little tamer with a newborn but still put many dollars into the local economy.

Last night I hit a pothole so sharp and deep that it sounded and felt like I drove straight into a curb. This was in the beater Leaf, but that still doesn't reduce the fact that both my passenger side rims are dented (fortunately steel, not an alloy that would have shattered). Both tire sidewalls have marks from the impact, but aren't flat (yet). I bet my alignment is off as well and maybe some other damage. One wheel cover flew off.

Any small independent shop recommendations for getting a quick quote that wouldn't be wasting their time so that I can submit a claim to the city of Denver? I already reported the pothole - apparently someone else last night hit it so hard their car was damaged worse than mine.

FYI - those in Denver - it's somewhere on W 8th Ave in the several blocks leading up to Santa Fe. It's in the 2nd from right most lane on the 4-lane one-way.

Thanks all for the vet suggestions, I was able to reach out to many of them! Timing and cost were big factors. The surgery needed was very specialized as well. We ended up going with CSU Vet Teaching Hospital as they were able to get him in the soonest with reasonable pricing. Consultation was on Monday, surgery on Tuesday, and home the same afternoon. The drive from Denver sucked but was well worth it. Even got a Bucees stop in.

I went back to the hole today to get some photos before they patch it (just in case they actually fix it anytime soon). I hurt watching the cars hit it like I did. Three hub caps are in the side of the road but I don’t see pieces of mine anywhere.

Fully bottomed out a Subaru suspension, which explains why it felt horrible in the Leaf…

My wheel never recovered from the bad pothole in Aurora. Bent the rim so bad I had to buy a new on. Right there at the Waffle House off Mississippi & 225

I don't expect to get anything back from the city and will probably just submit an insurance claim. Then I'll find one of the many wrecked Leafs in the junkyard and buy a set of alloys off that. Probably do a garage DIY alignment.

Has anyone run Top of the World in Moab lately? If is, any input on the trail condition would be appreciated.

I made the trek over to RSG today and forked over too much money for a four pieces of metal, but the sliders are fully installed and I paid $700 less than new.

I got to see the prototype of a new product and also got a new hat which is pretty sweet. The truck is mostly packed for Moab.

I should say shout out to RCI.

Their install instructions have room for improvement but the customer service is top notch. All new slider hardware for $35. Didn’t realize the frame insert was separate hardware so tried to buy that too and they just sent it for free because it “probably should come with that.”

    10/10 will buy again

Took the plunge and bought a beginner 3D printer. Things are fairly inexpensive and hoping it will be useful for my layouts, small buildings, bridges, kit bashed rolling stock, etc...
I have absolutely no idea how any of it works. It should be here later today. I will be posting my progress, wins and fails, for your entertainment.
