No can do already backed out of a 2uz swap I had 90% prepped for. It's too tight in the bay for standard maintenance to be worth it.

I mean a 5.3/4l80e combo isn’t thaaaat expensive right? Are the 1g Tacomas cool enough for people to make motor mounts and swap parts for LS?

I've not looked into pricing lately... but im sure we could weld some shit up easy enough.

I'm only entertaining the idea because the haltec would hook up with MINIMAL effort

I picked up some generic LS motor mounts and crossmembers from TMR for mine, figure it’ll make mounting the drivetrain easy, basically just set it where I want it, plate the frame and burn it in. I see 5.3/4l80e combos on marketplace going for around $2000, 6.0/4l80e combos going for $2500-3000. Usually come with the factory wire harness and PCM which is pretty easy to tie into existing stuff and get running

Seriously considering this option. I'll be hitting you up for advice when I decide to start down this rabbit hole.

I don't know of anyone who's made it work with 4wd, unless you SAS.

At the very least you'd need to make a custom oil pan, and there's no room for the driver's side exhaust between the front diff/steering shaft.

Yeah, Project Lightning or whatever it was called where the YouTube person converted an SRunner Xtracab to a rear mounted turbo LS swap was 2wd and even then had to do some weird stuff or alternate oil pan config.
