My summary about eBikes is that if you haven't ridden one, have never had an injury or don't think about the future when your VO2 max and overall fitness will be lower, you probably hate them. You hate getting passed by them because YOU'RE WORKING HARD and they are cheating. blah blah.
eBikes have their place. They don't tear up the trails like motorcycles*. They still do way less damage than horses.
I can ride 28 mph on my analogue/muscle/pedal bike on a bike path and hit a baby in a stroller just as well as someone being a jerk on an eBike, it's just that they can accelerate to that 28mph much quicker.
So, eBikes aren't the problem, but when they are people focus on that they are on an eBike.

Now if we're talking about what some people mis-categorize actual electric motorcycles like a Surron and such, those do tear up trails.

What you're finding is that with the parks that ban then, they are usually creating this blanket ban because they didn't have regulations for Ebikes before they existed / became popular / were more affordable. So now that they need to do research and go through their public planning, hearing process and so on, they just put a blanket ban until they release official, long-term rules.

Becoming more and more convinced that the door to door bug guy unleashed a box of bugs in the neighborhood. :p
These are ravaging a bush that I cut down every year and it keeps coming back. Jokes on you buddy, let 'em eat it.

Those Japanese beetles are my mortal enemy. I’ve been on a crusade to kill as many of them as possible since late spring because they will decimate our linden tree and flowers. Fuck them.

The best is to sprinkle milky spore on the ground in the spring on the ground below the plants you've seen them eating last season. That will kill the larvae before they hatch, rather than playing a response game of trying to murder them. The beetles reach adult size by July and crawl out of the ground where they've burrowed. https://www.amazon.com/St-Gabriel-Organics-8001096-10-Ounce/dp/B001D10EWO/

Also, a lot of people use the Japanese beetle traps, but I'd agree with others that say that just gives more of a attractant to bring MORE beetles to your yard and only capture some in the trap.

Another thing I've tried that seems not that effective is the "slightly soapy water in a bucket, and knock them off the plants into the bucket to drown". I could never catch them all though and the next day felt like the same number of them.

The best solution for control seems to be to have chickens and ducks because they'll eat them.

    That’s good info!

We were late to the party this year despite our poor linden getting devoured the year before, so we didn’t treat the ground like we should have. We will definitely do the milky spore stuff on the ground and then try our best to spray Neem oil on the new foliage since it acts as an antifeedant.

Doesn’t stop me from murdering as many of the bastards as possible when I see them this season. They do make a satisfying crunch and bonus points for catching and killing mating pairs/orgies!
