Was thinking the same. I designed a slip-on extension that goes out another 230mm, and can be slid up tight to the seat post when not needed. That is the idea anyway. Still have to print it out. Currently re-working the front, the radius around the tire looks better, added some rigidity and has a better surface texture. Also added some length to it.
Just the tip so far. Was also able to lose the ridge along the top.

Current length of the existing front flap, which was printed flat on the bed.
This one should go another 40mm or so, depending on if the print actually finishes. It's a bit shaky at this point :p. I had set it at 1/2 of normal speed, and then manually turned it down another 20%, which is all it will allow.
I have an idea for a total redesign of the rear, that makes it extendable, and keeps the extension hidden when not needed. Since both the front and rear mount to universally existing threaded bungs on the frame, I might go ahead and publish this once I have it figured out.
I'm 70 points away from a free roll of filament :D

The stages as the idea turns into something more better.

The final round is happening now, 10 hours of print time ahead. One will finish before I fall asleep on the couch, the other will be done by early morning.

    These are only .83mm thick.
They were actually pretty stout, on tonight's ride I couldn't tell they were there.
The new ones are 2mm thick, and the tab on the rear was angled 1 degree to get it closer to the tire. Added supports midway up to stop the shake, although it didn't affect the print, and slowed the print speed way down, hoping to get a good surface.

Getting closer to a real functional thing. It needs to be 1mm thicker, for added strength. I broke the tip pushing it together. But it's still functional after a little glue, and more or less works as intended. :D
    [IMG]

And the front is almost finalized. Made one significant change to the very front flap, that should be done after lunch.

Back to the front. This is the final redo of that front piece. The left was trimmed up for a better fit, the right was redesigned to do away with the pieces that were trimmed off and I added the aerodynamic bump to keep the thing flat. It's rigid now but has enough flex to bend to the tire if needed and not break.
tucked nice and snug, seam overlap is only visible if you look for it.
    mini gussets on the rear.
I suppose I could heat gun the rear to get the radius over the tire. But I don't want to screw it up.

That's facing the wrong direction if your trying to protect the water bottle from your septic system.

After 7 years of faithful service, the ol' Galaxy S8 is finally telling me it wants to retire. Still works, but today it is running really slow, and this last week the battery was good for just a few hours.
Longest run I have ever had with a phone.
    Shortest was 4 days.

I’d just get a new battery and limp it along another year or two… or until it gets dropped/exploded.

Does Android have any sort of battery usage report? My iPhone was burning through battery and the battery usage report said it was mostly my calendar app. Disabled my work calendar and doubled my battery life. win-win.

Settings > Device Care > Battery > Battery Usage. Or search for 'Battery usage'

My Phone is stuck on Android 10 - May be similar on newer versions of Android.

It does, but it's also 7 years old. Last couple years I was doing the same thing, disabling things that weren't needed to gain some more life. Was about out of memory too, had to uninstall several things, delete pics, video's. It was only 128g of storage space.
Today it started freezing up during calls, apps wouldn't load, it was showing the signs.

New phone works great! Was able to transfer everything over. That took a couple hours doing it by wireless.
I tried plugging in both phones together, and it started to transfer right away, but the old phone battery went from 65% to 17% in just a few seconds, so I aborted that and did it the long way.

Talked with mom for the first call, hour and a half later I still have 92%. The old phone would not have made that.

If you employed this technique into your design stage, you’d have a fender/splash guard by now.

The mild conspiracy theorist in me believes the OS updates/fixes causes battery usage to drop.. seems to happen after that 2 year payoff mark. I do not have any data to support this nor have I done any research. But seems shady enough that phone manufactures would do that to get people onto the latest and greatest
