I took a few forks off Boreas Pass into some mining areas. Wasn't super packed since it's dirt. Less mini vans
Didn't get any aspen photos but there are some decent areas

Original pic looks better, the forum's image optimization took away a lot of sharpness.

    None, it's a friend's drone. All I know is it's a DJI.

    Looking for some advice..

    Situation:
I am in TN visiting family for a couple months. While here, i am doing some maintenance on the T4R. My toytec 2.0 aluma series coilovers are due for a rebuild. They are not leaking but the lowers are squeaking pretty bad.

    Option 1:
Remove front and rear. Car sits on jacks. I ship them to someone for an expedited rebuild.

I have yet to find a local guy to rebuild them.

How do you guys pack your shocks for shipping? I dont have the original box.

I expect shipping to be astronomical. Maybe ~$300-400

    Option 2:
I service them. I can compress and disassemble. However, the nitrogen part is still a question mark for me.

Has anyone rebuilt their own coilovers before? Worth it? What was the biggest challenge?

Just replace the lower bearings and spacers, it will be fine to put off a full rebuild for a few months till you get back to CO.

I have complete kits available, but you will need to use another brands spacers. The Elka ones are brass and do not hold up as intended. Fox and King are a direct replacement.

You can use any of the COM, FKS, FKSSX bearing kits and spacers for your Elka's as long as they are not gen 1 with lower bushings.

We also have upgraded lower bolts that are shanked and a constant diameter vs the stock bolts.

You have to replace the pellet from the inside, the top cap unscrews to get to it, huge PITA.

As long as you're paying attention and answering questions... any pointers on how to refill a Fox 2.0 non-resi rear? They require a long nitrogen needle to pass through the upper eye of the shock. The official Fox needle is expensive (like $125 iirc), if you can even find it. I picked up the set of shocks for nearly no money so I'm willing to experiment.

Drill and tap at the top of the body for a NTP schrader valve. Choose the placement carefully to the new valve clears mounts, ect.
