It was beautiful for sure up in Jefferson today. I was working at the columbine ranch on the side of Kenosha pass and the colors were amazing. When I came back to Denver around lunch the pass was a parking lot, haven’t seen that many people up that way in a long time.

Really missing the colorado color change, but we got to see some locally just outside of Vegas. Next year we’ll get the full CO show again once we are back

I might have some business that will have me working in the Denver area for about a year next spring, and I've got to figure out my own living situation. I'll be at the Centennial airport 6-7 days a week with hours all over the place, so I'd like to be 15-20 minutes away or less; best I can tell is to draw a radius about out to the central Aurora area and look within there. Any specific areas to start nosing around in would be greatly appreciated, I'm not at all familiar with the area yet. Thanks!!

Denver traffic can be bad. What's 15-20 minutes away sometimes could be an hour away other times.

What priorities do you have outside of your commute? I'm assuming you'll want to spend time in the mountains, which most likely means driving I-70, US285, or CO67, or other roads if you go farther north or south. Your happiness could be greatly affected by your access to these roads. Your happiness will decrease if you spend too much time on I-70.

buy a camper, live out at the airport.
Take the train into downtown if you want to visit. They probably give you a free pass the time you work at the airport.

Just be aware that it's E-470 over that way. You'll want something where the commute does not suck if you avoid E-470 if you do not want the toll. However, if you want to get away west quick, you may be using the toll lanes anyways to skip any local traffic when you are not working, so it may not matter. Being in Aurora would give you easy access to the local places to eat, breweries, and possibly the RTD if you want to get into the city without driving. If you prefer to be a little more away from the crowd, looking for a way to rent in Parker or down I-25 might be your thing. Probably more expensive and then you may contend with the I-25 traffic in and out of Denver. The Centennial airport is also close to Lone Tree and Centennial, which are just on the other side of I-25. I am over in Littleton almost right off C-470. Being that close to the highway makes us feel we can quickly get out of town, either west or south, when we want.
