e470 has been such a headache for me. It takes them 3-4 months to bill me and they just tack the late fee on. Literally paid all my tolls in August and got a bill for June on Friday....They waived the late fee when I went over all my documentation with them. Have no idea what's up with them but I will not get a toll pass again. I kept the $35 in my account & they still charged me back then. e470 & Tollpass.com just sucks

The news had a similar pic of Kenosha Pass parking lot. 4 miles of bumper to bumper parked cars.

That sucks. I imagine they only let you have an account if you have an active transponder. Back in MD with the EZ-Pass you could have a "cash" account with your transponder. You have to check your balance and manually add to your balance. Actually I'm pretty sure mine is still set up that way for when I am in the area extended periods. I just cannot go without the transponder as I use that route to go to the airport for work and avoid the traffic. Waiting to see if my employer finally says they do not want to pay those tolls anymore!

Hit GeorgeTown for a "quick lunch and beer".....normally the drive up is 45 but turned out to be an extra 30. the way home.....1.5 hours. Leaf peeping in full swing.

I used EZ pass on the east for 13 years without any issues, ever, with my billing. It was 100% seamless to run any toll road across the tri-state area and beyond, east / west, or north /south. Jersey shore, Pittsburgh, Ohio, DC, all the way up to Maine if recall. The states just billed each other back. Maybe a handful of toll booths that weren't upgraded that you needed cash for, but I never had issues.

I have shredded so many yellow and pink late notices from e470. Had to show them email receipts and CC statements for the multiple $35 pre-pays they never credited me for when they kept sending me bills for every $1.90 toll asking for another $35 prepay.

It has been somewhat better since I switched to autopay and don't look at my statements.

I use the auto prepay thing too and haven't had issues. I do get the previous owners bills weekly, he's in jail apparently so uhh don't think he'll be paying anytime soon. Contacted the toll office and they just shrugged it off.

I can spend $41 at Mama Roni's, have it delivered and there is enough to feed me for the week. $127 at King Soopers and I eat for just the weekend.
It's medium Monday btw. Check it out.

Time to do the math again... If you get the "xl & stix $16.99 16” XL 1-Topping Pizza and Garlic Parmesan Breadsticks"
You get almost 2x the pizza and "free" breadsticks for the price of two 12" medium monday pizzas. And you get approximately 7% extra toppings and less crust.

I don't want Mama Ronis once a week much less all week long.

The best pizza we have is mod pizza imo. fresh ingredients one price, order the mega dough.
The cheapest is Domino's. 6.99 medium 2 toppings picked up.

We don't have any great pizza that fits in between though in my opinion. I miss fresh ingredients good sauce and crust and a fair price for the family.

The best is pizza made at home... The pizza oven is a high investment cost but after having it for several years and pumping out pizzas a lot (including while camping) makes it worth it pretty quickly.

If you're going for just cheap food, there's cheaper ways to do it, including just going to Costco and eating a hotdog for every meal.

Costco was a life saver during my unemployed stint. I could walk there from the house and just make rounds of samples, then a slice of pizza on the way out. It was legit.

Mod pizza is terrible. Domino's is a step above them and it's still bad.
And it's not pizza all week long, there is a salad and a sammich too. :luvya:

You know, I spent the better part of two decades all over the west coast..I once had a commute that could be 20-25 minutes, or almost 3 hours once. I should know better than to ask about commute times in a metro area like you can the midwest.

Anyway, ease/reliability of getting to-from the airport has to be priority. Absolutely kills me, but I'm not getting the impression I'm going to have a lot of free time.

I'm flying solo and I wondered if I could use this as an excuse to get that Superpacific or GFC setup and do just that. I'm still wondering, to be honest..feeling out when it may be appropriate to bridge that topic, hah. I've even got a Westfalia that I lived out of for a while at the tail end of the care free bachelor days, but it's been off the road for the better part of a decade and that's just a bit more risk than I can tolerate for this little venture.

Exactly the kind of input I was looking for, I will take this all into consideration - thank you!!

If we’re talking cheap pizza we’re talking papa murphys and I’ll die on that (doughy) hill.

Idk, some people have some very strong opinions on Chicago-style pizza.

I recommend Pizzeria Lui in Lakewood. It's a small shop kinda tucked away, but gets lots of traffic. Parking sucks, so probably better to get takeout unless you go at an odd time. Eat your pizza on my patio. I live just a mile away.
