taste is a good time. parking is tough and you can drop $$ pretty fast, but a good time.

sniagrab is off Broadway and like 11th.. tons of gear for cheap and most all passes are for sale outside by the resorts

Yeah I think ski and golfs goes through sept 3rd or something like that. Been so long since I have even been to a sale like that. I have so much gear in my basement most of my friends come shopping over here haha. Minus the fact they have to give it back at the end of the day.

I'm native, but I didn't grow up riding or skiing. Did it for a while and loved it, but don't have enough time or money to justify it anymore. But I do love the snow. We don't get anywhere close to what we used to get when I was growing up. Snowshoeing is one of my favorite things to do, though. I try to backpack into rmnp every January. If you all have never tried winter backpacking, it is pretty intense.

Yeah it is. I normally do 2-3 hut trips every winter. Ranging from a 7mile in 3 Nighter, to a multi hut 5-7 day like 20-30 mile trek. I do it on tele skis now, but have two pairs of snow shoes, still love to snow shoe but on long trips skis are faster.

Snowshoeing is awesome!!! I'm trying to get the wife a pair this year. I'd love to hit up RMNP in the snow for some sunrise photography this winter too

I have a pair of msr evos, and a pair of atlas 1230's. The msr is bag for your buck for sure.

I like the way the atlas's strap on with the quick straps like a snowboard binding. A buddy has a pair of msr's and he always had problems with the straps. When do we get our REI rewards again?

I forget when we get those. To be honest. The new msr binding is much better than the atlas. The atlas is a pain in the ass on long trips or in really deep snow if you have a problem. I use the atlas more because they support more weight so when I'm loaded up. But I have the tails for my msr's so they work well. Depends on what you use them for. I really like the simple design of the msr all plastic and less to go wrong.

Good to know, I'll have to look into the msr's again. I have a pair of big ass atlas's to float on POW hiking with snowboard boots on, my board and a backpack with gear. To be honest I bought them a while ago and they could be a little big for my weight and usage.
