back to the prev guy asking about tint .... im so screwed on the law here .... they couldnt pull me over till now since i didnt have co plates but now that i do the law here is either 20 all around or black out the back and nothing on front ... I was illegal in ca too but theirs was no tint front whatever you want in the back

I have 4% rear over factory tint, 20% sides, and 6" 4% sunstrip

ehh...an old roommate had to peel his side tints off to avoid a ticket (fix it ticket)...think he was pulled over though for speeding which led to the ticket..

i forget the % tint i have on my fronts, but they "aren't legal" because my rears are all tinted..

it's just too damn sunny here to not have any tints IMO

    Hey guys,

I'm planning on making a trip back to L.A. sometime in the next few weeks, but this time I want to drive the Taco. My reasons are silly: it's never been on a road trip and I'd like to take it for a spin back home for a week.

My questions are: being October, is the route from here to L.A. unpredictable at this time of the year? My route would be I-70 to the 15 through Vegas and into Los Angeles. Also, putting 2,000+ miles on a 2011 Taco won't harm it, right?
I thought about renting a car and driving there but it wouldn't be the same. Open road, my Tacoma -- perfection.

Taking the truck in for its 15,000 service tomorrow because it's due.

Also just want to change up the usual routine of flying there.

Haven't made a drive like this since I moved here in May 2011.

Maybe I'm just looking for someone to say "F-ck it... Why not?" Haha

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't take your taco on a trip. I took mine (2005) from AK to Colorado, putting 4000+ on it at 72,000 miles. No issues at all. As for the route, you should be fine. It's desert. Lol!

Lmao I guess I never thought of that. Hey we have a good working relationship with our PD officers. But even before I was a ff I had it. Never was pulled over for it.
